It was said before and has to be pointed out again: The Freestyle Wave concept is the ideal option for 99% of coastal-sailing recreational windsurfers. If you are not sure which board line would suit you best, then don’t look any further. If just in theory, the Freestyle Wave would not work perfectly for the given conditions as they come, you still can tune it to perfection! It’s an ideal all-round high wind board for both, blasting and bump&jump sailing. It also shines as a powerful, all-round wave board for lighter winds, heavier sailors or difficult conditions and then is great fun especially for huge jumps and fast carves in side to side onshore conditions. The direct feel derives from the reduced swing weight of the short, compact shape. The outline is parallel in the mid-section creating a big area for early planing and stability. The tail is rather narrow to maintain control on fast runs over choppy water. The FSW is agile, quick to respond and its rails bite hard into small waves without getting stuck.

The domed deck grants a comfortable stance for all foot strap positions. The deck shape also provides perfect board control mixed with readiness to respond.

Offering all the traditional Freestyle Wave virtues, they now are even more agile and fun. They are fast, super comfortable and provide confidence to push to the board’s limits. Suited for freestyle as well, they love to carve fast, drawn-out turns in all waters, flatwater, chop and waves. They cover it all and are simply the best JP Freestyle Waves – ever!

The FWS boards come with a Powerbox and a single fin and they are great bump&jump blasters. The PRO boards additionally come with Mini Tuttle sidefin boxes, thruster fins, a 2cm shorter main fin than the FWS models and covers for the sidefin boxes when used as single fin. They are exceptional toys for all conditions, yet, they offer huge potential for further fine-tuning and thus increasing the fun and the performance in the whole range of use.

THRUSTER SETUP

All FREESTYLE WAVE boards in PRO Edition come with a thruster fin setup:

1 big FREESTYLE WAVE tail fin, 2 side fins and 2 Mini Tuttlebox plugs.

You can also use these boards in single-fin setup. For use in the same wind range, just cover the Mini Tuttle boxes with the plugs and use a 2cm bigger main fin (not included) than you would for thruster-use.

PADS

DOUBLE HEEL PADS

ULTIMATE WAVE, WAVE SLATE, YOUNG GUN RADICAL THRUSTER QUAD 6 + 4 mm = 10mm pads in the heel area. Great shock absorbing effect – very comfortable. Your heels are higher on the board for more power and control on your forefoot. Initiating turns is really easy.

DOUBLE COMFORT PADS

FREESTYLE WAVE, FREESTYLE, SUPER RIDE, MAGIC RIDE, SUPER SPORT, SUPER LIGHTWIND, YOUNG GUN FREESTYLE 6 + 4 mm = 10mm pads in the actual standing area provide unbelievable shock absorption and comfort.

FOOTSTRAPS

Comfortable footstrap incl. 2 screws. Anti-twist system. Adjustable plastic plates for width adjustment.

ADJUSTABLE WIDTH

Adjustable in width not just in length. By simply turning the plastic plate by 180 degrees, the width of the foostraps can be reduced by 0.6cm (one plate) respectively 1.2cm (both plates). Great for slalom sailors who need a tight connection to the board and for youngsters or women with smaller feet.

HOW TO ADAPT YOUR FOOTSTRAPS TO LARGE FEET OR SAILING WITH BOOTS

Adjust your Foot Strap SIZE for very large foot strap sizes, change the Anti Twist plate for the outside position – recommended for foot size 11 (US) / 10 (UK) and bigger.

• remove the screw
• remove the Anti Twist plate
• insert the bottom part of the Anti Twist plate into the outside holes of the belt
• put the top plastic part back on the pins
• insert the screw
• adjust the size of the foot strap to fit your foot

HOW TO ADAPT YOUR FOOTSTRAPS TO SMALL FEET:

5 Steps for a NARROW Foot Strap:

• remove the screw
• pull off the top plastic part
• rotate the top plastic part 180°
• put it back on the pins
• insert screw and mount the strap
