The brief for the new Kodes was to deliver the best onshore wave board yet excel in freeride, freewave and freestyle as the Kode legacy demands. To achieve these objectives, the Kode shape was shortened in both nose and tail for added maneuverability while avoiding any loss in acceleration or speed. The increased bottom Vee shape further adds maneuverability in the waves, giving a sharper acceleration in the gusts and more smoothness in rough waters

SINGLE OR THRUSTER FIN SET UP
All models come are supplied with two set of fins.
Jaeger’s signature Stone Surf G-10 thruster fins by Drake provides a blend of speed, grip, maneuverability and stability in playful and wavy conditions.
Choose the FreeWave single fin for more speed, more directional stability and earlier planing.

Wave: place your mast base and footstraps following the white marks
FreeWave: place your mast base and footstraps following the blue marks
Freeride: place your mast base and footstraps following the yellow marks
DIAMOND TAIL AND NOSE
More compact. The new Kode nose and tail are shorter. For improved maneuverability, improved onshore wave performance and ease to ride.
ROCKERLINE
The bottom shape blends a fast rocker along the centreline for maximum speed with more curved rockers on the sides. As you engage the rail, that added curvature on the sides of the Kode bites and engages the board into its carving arc.
BOTTOM SHAPES
More vee. For quicker rail to rail transitions and for better comfort and control when blasting through rough chop.
STARBOX
The Kode comes with two lightweight Starboxes and one US box.
The Starbox system allows you to fit Slot Box fins in five seconds each while remembering your last setting to get you on the water faster. It is also compatible with US box fins.

YULEX FOOTSTRAPS AND THICK PADS
The Drake footstraps are made with FSC-certified, sustainably sourced and plant-based Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber content, CO² emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is kept to improve UV resistance.
Carefully sourced with the smoothest fabric for a comfortable feel.
The Kode feature 10mm thick footpads with a diamond grooving pattern that provides grip and comfort over extended sessions while being resistant to wear-and-tear.
SPECS
FLAX BALSA CONSTRUCTION
The Kode FreeWaves are available in our new construction designed for the lightest weight but also the lowest carbon footprint; Flax Balsa. Natural end-grain balsa covers the bottom of the board, providing the board with its overall stiffness and reduced weight. The full sandwich deck uses natural uni-directional flax fibers with carbon stripes to reinforce and stiffen the most stressed sections. The rails features full-perimeter uni-directional flax fibers.
